Why do I need to put my credit card in before I book a job?

When you submit a job request, you will be asked to provide a credit card for us to keep on file. Why? A handful of reasons. First, with customers spread throughout the Greater Boston area, it is impossible for us to collect cash/check payments for all of our jobs. Credit cards allow us to implement the smoothest payment process possible for us, our customers, and our Doers. Second, credit cards are the absolutely safest form of payment today - god forbid something ever was amiss, just call your credit card company and refute the charge. Third, and most important, is safety. We take our Doers through a lengthy identify verification process to ensure your safety, I'm sure you can understand that we want to keep them safe as well. With that, your credit card provides us with a credible form of identity, creating a safer environment for our workforce. Of course, you will be never be charged until a job is complete, and you will have a three-day window to review the bill. We process all payments with Stripe, an entirely secure platform. You can learn more about stripe here (https://stripe.com/help/security).
